people should be allowed to have low ambition, and also be able to feed a family on the salary of a cashier at a convenience store.
if a job of some kind is necessary -and though it’s not like being, say, a garbage man, it makes sense for clerks of some kind to continue to exist- then the person doing that job shouldn’t make poverty wages. the idea that some jobs are just worth underpaying in general is wrong, because it creates a chronically mistreated and undervalued group of people who are nonetheless keeping society functioning with their work.

An antique c1890 Victorian-era solitaire engagement ring with an old European cut diamond weighing approximately 0.25 carats. The mounting is 14K rosy-yellow gold and built in a six-pronged configuration commonly referred to as a Belcher ring; named after a 19th century British goldsmith that popularized a clean, rounded aesthetic of both ring settings and chains.
Currently a size 7 and could be resized in the 5 to 8 range.
